| CADR, which stands for Clean Air Delivery Rate, is an important tool for comparing the overall performance of various models of air cleaners. It's a measure of the total volume of air that a particular air purification system cleanses of a specific pollutant in one minute. When the particle size and filter efficiency of any two air cleaners are the same, CADR is the key to choosing the more effective system. CADR test results are expressed in cubic feet per minute (CFM). The higher the CADR test numbers, the better the overall ability of the unit to clean your indoor air.
The Therapure® 300 has a CADR level of 180 which can filter and clean a 16X17 foot room.
The CADR number should always equal at least two-thirds of the total square footage of the room you will be purifying. For example, a 10X12 foot room has 120 square feet and needs a purifier with a CADR of at least 80. |
